Orzushii is not the real artist of the art they're posting on that account.
The accounts that are related to this person (that I know of) are:
1. Orzushii on Twitter
2. Orzushii here on DA
3. Orzushii on Instagram
4. orzushii on ArtStation
5. Art animo: orz
6. Virink: orz
I'm unable to grab links for the last two (help, anyone?), but they were listed on their various profiles.
Beware of these accounts and report them if possible, but don't harass them!
Original artist, 零届0rz:
1. Lofter: lingjie0rz.lofter.com/
2. Weibo: www.weibo.com/u/2284715955
3. Pixiv: www.pixiv.net/member.php?id=46…
Please visit and support her through her real accounts!
But also, please refrain from bugging her over this incident! Our community is irrelevant to hers and I've already contacted her, see below for the details.
A few days ago (on April 4), Diem and I came across a new Twitter account Orzushii claiming to be 零届0rz (whom I'll be referring to as Lingjie in this post).
I happened to know of Lingjie before this (she's one of my favourite watercolour artists) and naturally I was pretty excited that she signed up for Twitter, but a couple of things struck me as being particularly weird about the situation:
1. The Chinese tweets on the Twitter account were machine-translated from Tumblr-style English
(For the record, whoever's behind this also doesn't recognise Wadanohara.)
2. A bunch of other accounts were all created on the same day, under the same name, with the same profile text copied from Lingjie's Pixiv account (which has existed for longer and is real, but contains no links to her Lofter/Weibo) and a list of usernames for accounts on other non-Chinese sites
There's also a LOT of other really weird stuff, but anyway...
I contacted Lingjie on Weibo to ask for confirmation. Here are screenshots of our conversation + the unedited ones.
Just in case, I've included an extra screenshot because she changed her icon just recently.
For the record, Diem and I sent notes to the impostor's deviantART account requesting that these fake accounts be closed within a certain period of time. We were hoping that the accounts could be closed by the user as some sites such as DA have a history of ignoring reports that aren't made by the original artists, and last I remember, DA was blocked by the Great Firewall of China.
In any case, both notes were read but we received no response, so we're going ahead and posting this publicly.
There hasn't been any public activity on the accounts listed above since I sent the first note, so I'm guessing they might have bailed.
There's one more thing that really bugs me about this case in relation to another recent one, but as it's speculation, I don't want to bring it up in public.
Suffice to say, should activity start up on Orzushii and related accounts again, please be careful if they start asking for art trades/requests/subscriptions!
And once again, reporting the accounts would be appreciated, but please don't harass or bug anyone including the fake accounts about this.
